Northside Chicago area help (Rogers Park)
« on: April 10, 2020, 05:14:45 PM »
Looking for anyone in the Chicago area with a carb sync kit to help me sync the carbs on my 76 cb750f. Just tying to avoid purchasing the tool if I don’t have to right now, as things are a little tight financially with the whole Coronavirus thing going on right now and me being self employed. I’m located in Rogers Park, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Consmo, I am just a few miles north of you in Evanston. I need to check to see if I have my gauges here or if they are in my sister's garage in the south suburbs. If I don't have them I can probably go get them next weekend.

Oh wow that would be awesome and much appreciated! Whenever you get the chance, as Im in no rush, my new air box boots should be here this week and then my carbs should be good to go after the sync. This bike has been sitting the last 5 years so it’s kind of been a 1 step forward two steps back kind of thing, and I’m pretty much a newbie. Thank you very much, and real cool that you are only a few minutes away. I’m right around the Calvary cemetery curve in east Rogers park. Let me know whenever you end up finding them, and we can link up. Thanks again! Love this sohc community!

Will do. My current bike is also a '76 750F. I'm just north of Dempster a couple blocks from the Evanston Jewel.
