1975 CB750 - Cafe Build
« on: April 28, 2020, 10:35:43 PM »
This is my first ride, a CB750K5 that I got as junk in 1984, just after graduating high school. It was my only vehicle in college. I put 30,000 miles on it back then, in all weather, and it never failed me. Bringing it back to life now. I've kept a detailed blog over the last 12 months. I'd like to repost each here, but it's a lot.

Damn! That was a LONG blog. Thanks for documenting your build.  I'm looking forward to where you go from here.  I think you're one of the first to detail installation of a Sump Thing on the Project board.

Wow, did you actually read it all? Thanks, nice to find some SOHC/4 enthusiasts. I document every step, which is presently almost daily.

All that’s left on the Sump Thing is paint and final assembly. I couldn’t find anyone who had documented it anywhere. Hopefully this helps. Waiting on a fresh set of CNC rotors, in the mail.

Fraudulent Part Letter

https://hondacb750k5.wordpress.com/2020/04/29/fraudulent-part-letter/

Latest blog post. Got a refurbished swingarm pivot bolt sold as NOS. I guess they didn’t think a buyer would notice the bearing surface was entirely worn away on one end of the bolt.

Supplier agreed to refund part and pay return shipping, no questions asked.
