Has anyone run an 18” front wheel on a 750K?
« on: May 03, 2020, 06:24:30 AM »
And if so what size and profile did you use? Did/would it fit with a stock front fender?
Rim width is not an issue as I have a wider than stock rim.
I’ve heard 120.....but I can only find 90 profile not 80.

Thanks for any help.

I'll be using one from this season on, but the bike is not finished for another 3 weeks or so. It's a 18x1.85 with Heidenau K34 3.50x18 tire. The total height is quite a bit smaller than my on 3.50 Dunlop K70 on the 19" wheel (had them relaced a while back, also on a 1.85 rim, so the fender looked a bit out of place.

I drilled the mounting holes in the fork brace about an inch higher up, and welded some more metal on the brace to have the holes not sitting too close to the edge. I like to think that with a shorter height, it might stiffen the fork brace somewhat.

Thanks for the input. I am worried that the 120/90 18 might be too tall for the bike/fender.
I guess I’ll just decide between the 110 vs 120.
