1978 CB550 carbuator linkage
« on: May 14, 2020, 03:54:23 PM »
Anyone have any tips for reassembling the choke linkage on a pd 42 (i think) no accelerator pump
and #2 carb has no adjustment on the venturi.  It is delicate but challenging to reassemble # 2 # 3 carburetor linkage. The small return spring that is attached to # 2 carb and crosses over to # 3 has proven to be a bit of s challenge.
I understand how it goes together but I am having trouble doing so. How much tension is needed? Is it better to assemble the carburetors and then load and attach the spring? I'm concerned I may spring the spring.
Tips? - it cant be that hard~ I'm old and don't see as well as I did a 100 years ago.
Any advice is appreciated
Chilly
