Spoke length and a GSXR front end.

So I have tried to glean as much as I can over the 2 years I have been doing this build. But I ran into a snag and figured I would ask here real quick.

So my build is using the GSXR front end with a Harley duel rotor hub. I got that sorted out and I have a Honda front rim that I drilled out to except the slightly larger spoke nuts. The issue is finding spokes that are the right length. No one on eBay will answer messages when I ask them how long the spokes thy are selling are. From my math I need right at 8” to 8.125” it looks like the old Honda spokes are the right length but the Harley spokes I got are about 1/4” to long. I wanted to use the Honda rim because it matches the rear rim with just the dimples. The Harley rims I have seen have the drop center. If I have to go that direction then that’s fine but I might as well just buy a laced 19” dyna with a 2.5” wide rim but then I think that quite a bit wider then the rear.

I’m wondering how other people have solved this issue. I was considering switching to an 18” front rim but was worried it would complicate things even more. Thanks guys for any help you can provide. If you had to order custom spokes what length did you end up getting?

You'll need the parts you plan to use in hand to do some measuring, but this should be all you need.
