Genuine Tach Cable?
« on: June 23, 2020, 10:03:47 AM »
I have broken two reproduction tach cables, at the base near the engine. I think it's because so many things come together here and it's often getting pushed around to access spark plugs, etc.

Anyways I want to get a genuine cable this time. Genuine cables for 400F are listed for about $47. However genuine cables for 750 and others are listed as low as $17. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the "right" price for a new genuine part, and if there is compatibility across some models.

There is some compatibility. Go to cmsnl and create an account then look up you cable click on the number and it will tell you all the models THAT cable fits. If you dont log in you get a restricted list
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Thank you for that tip. Looks like it fits the cb200t as well.
