On to a different topic did we determine that its rubber dust all over your bike and pant leg ? I like what you have done to your bike by the way  ;) Those front brakes are definitely more modern.

Thank you! Yeah it definitely tire lol. still have to go out and examine exactly where it's rubbing. And my front forks and brake are from a ~1981 CB750k. That much I've determined. Which might not be such a bad thing as I've heard the gen 1 brakes are pretty bad

The original wheels were spoked but these comstars came from a similar year so they were a direct bolt on replacement. All the hardware was the same including axles, spacers, brake size, etc.

1.85x19 is stamped in to the wheel. Also I think I can see where the tire** is rubbing on some part of the fender. It's on the left third of the tire** tread and about as thick as the tip of a highlighter. I'll have to look closer when it's not so oppressively hot outside. It's like stepping in to a sauna over here

The tire** that was on it when I got it was a 110/90 19 so I just put that on again. I guess the tread on the shinko I have is thicker or different than whatever was on it before. Maybe increasing the air pressure a bit would bring the edges in and make it stop rubbing. Who knows

You have to make the distinction between wheel, which is the metal round thing fastened to the forks and tyre which is the roundish rubber thing on the wheel

Sorry guys, I wasn't thinking lol. I fixed my previous 2 comments to be a little more clear. I always mess that up. I know the distinction but it's like slipping up and calling a bolt a nut or vice versa. I do it all the time

Okay  :) 1.85x19,got it.I wouldn't use any tire on that larger than what's recommended.I think a 100/90x19 would be a good fit,imo.
