Quick question about plating

How much thickness does plating add? I'm rebuilding my carbs and I want somethings Nickle plated. I wanted to make sure threads and thicknesses would be fine.
The pieces I'm most concerned with are the throttle and choke shafts.
Here is my build thread if anyone want more details.

.001" to .005"
If you plan to plate slides that move up and down measure od of slide and id of bore, you also need raw steel on the slide

I'm not doing the slide. I think I'll do the choke plates though.
