new K0 in dayton ohio
« on: February 15, 2007, 02:55:30 PM »
Hi all,
First let me say sorry for no pics. I am just starting to look around this site and once I find out where to go to put my pics I will get them on.

My real name is Rusty, I'm 38 and have been riding for 20 years. (all brands) Am president of the Eagles F.O.E. 3621 motorcycle club. I just love to ride, and love bikes in general.
My main ride is a 2005 Suzuki C90.
I just recently acquired the second Honda of my life. it is a 1970 CB750 K0 with 8k miles on it. The tags on it were from 85. The motor is not locked up though.
My first thought was to turn this into a rat-chopper until I started finding out what it was that I had. Now I think that I will see if my limited abilities will be able to get it started. After that who knows...Maybe Ebay..maybe I'll end up trading it for a 750 chopper.
As I have no garage so I am currently working on it in the house. Luckily my ol'lady is understanding. Actually I think that she is happy that I have something that keeps me busy and gives her a break.
Just wanted to say hi, and that what I have seen of this site so far looks great.
Thanks
Cikke

Welcome. You can upload pics to the gallery at http://www.sohc4.us/gallery/main.php/. Or, upload one right here using either the Additional Options at the lower-left, or click on the image icon above the post/reply box and insert the URL if you have them on another photo server.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

What is the engine number on that bike?  It's located on top of the trans below the carbs.

Well just spent over an hour trying to get pics loaded in the Gallery. When I finally figured out what I was doing (well sort of) I couldn't get them to upload. It kept telling me that the connection to the server was reset while I was trying to upload. Or something like that.
I did manage to get the one little pic on the left of my post put in though. And yes, it is in the house.
I'll get my daughter to help me with the other pics within the next few days if I can get the time.

I never were none to good bout werking on these hear lectronic typewriter thingy's no-how

Welcome Rusty and I know what you mean about the computer BS. I don't understand  alot of it either. If my kids lived closer, they could help me figure out all kinds of things on here. They started learning this stuff in like 6th grade and know way more than you or me will probably ever know about it. Glad you found out about that KO before you chopped it . Get a newer one for choppin!!! Any how...welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay!!!

Hi Cikke, welcome aboard.

This is a good link. Have a look what 736cc has done with his K0. There is enough information buried in this site to enable you to do the same to yours.

Cheers, TC

Hello and welcome Rusty,

I too have a 1970 cb750 K0; but I don't have my numbers in front of me at the moment.  It was manufactured November 1969, though.  I love it.  Bought it from a previous co-worker for next to nothing, and it being my first project has been an absolute God-send.  It's not pretty, but the joy I get out of getting her to run has been great.  I'm learning the mechanics of it all, but also learning a bit about myself too.  If you've read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenence" you'll know what I mean.  The people here are great, tons of commeraderie, just good people.

Welcome again.

Prost!

Finely, I think that I have a couple of pics in the gallery.
if I did this right this link should take you to them.

If you decide to click on this link do so at your own risk, and I would advice wearing sunglasses. I think that one of the pictures might have a glare from the top of my head that could leave you blinded..You have been warned..HA..HA..HA..
