My broader question is this: Where can I find diagrams and part numbers for all the parts on this bike. I am a car guy with a special interest vintage car which is renowned and popular. There is a HUGE document showing EVERY part on this car, with full blow-up diagrams and part numbers. Is there such a thing for these bikes?
Fellow car guy here, have a '70 Corvette. What you have there?!
1978 Porsche 911SC. The engine, suspension and brakes have been breathed-on a bit, if you know what I mean. Nothing full-race, just street/sport. You might be stunned to experience how much fun it is to drive this car. Think: Go-cart coupe with license plates.
I really appreciate the links and other information. You guys are great. Here are some pics of the door and tank bracket showing the absence of studs where, apparently, studs should be. The piece in my hand matches the hole dimensions, but is otherwise just curious. If I found the right pair of screws, I could make it work. The holes in the bracket, where there should be studs, are small and would accept the right screws. Ideally, they would be very small, short self-tapping screws.
