We shall see. I'll likely be there at least one day if only to serve as a floating pit crew member.  8)

I'm still a bit torqued over the cancellation of the season opener that was supposed to happen at my home track…  >:(

An old man told me once not to let anyone steal my joy. So I'm going to tell you the same thing.  If you enjoy racing, come on out and make some rounds.  We never know what next year will bring so let's make the best of the remainder of 2020.

Wilbur, are you planning to run again this year?

Finally got my brother on the new bike yesterday.  He didn't set any Records but he did pretty good getting it down the track on an A to B pass. Each pass was quicker than the next and his 60 foot times dropped over the 4 runs he made. I'm very pleased at the progress he made for only one day in the seat. He was as excited as a kid on Christmas morning.  Lol. He said the bike handled well and felt good going down the track.. He seemed comfortable and didn't give me any concerns about his ability to race the bike. We would have made more passes but a truck wrecked on the track and they shut it down for the night.  Hopefully we'll have good weather this weekend so we can go out again.  If not, we'll enter the Friday test session at the Cup race so he can get a little more seat time. He's already said he wants to compete in the main event. Looks like I've been kicked off the bike for this race and maybe every event. Hahaha.  I guess I'll be building another bike for myself in the near future.  🤣

I think qualifying on friday begins at 4:30; so if you  guys get there early enough; he may get a couple of test-runs.
How'd yer brother get from crew-chief / head cook, to #1 dragbike pilot?

That was actually a part of my original plan for building this bike Mark.  I wanted to get him into racing along with the wife and myself.  I guess the plan worked a little to well. I've been pushed off the seat. I guess this was my last rideLol

I'm already thinking about the next build. I don't think my brother is going to give  this one back. Hahha. Will concentrate on an engine that'll produce more horsepower but stick with the identical chassis set up. This one works very good. It met and exceeded my expectations so far. Maybe he'll let me throw a leg over it one day and I'll put a bottle in it with a md nitrous tuneup. Curious to see how deep into the 9 second zone it'll  take me.

I made it down to the final 16 bikes in street ET on the F model. Unfortunately i had to race a much slower  electric motorcycle in the 5th round and redlighted, ending my weekend in street ET. The bike did great all weekend. It was fairly consistent so i cannot complain or blame the bike for my screw up.

On my Kawasaki drag bike, I made it to the 5th round in pro ET, but once again I turned on the dreaded red.

This race pretty much ends my season. I've got a lot of off season work to do on several of the bikes. The F3 in particular needs attention so I'll be busy in the shop during the winter months. Hoping to resume the 4.60 index class bike project  build for next season as well.

Looking forward to 2021.

I hear that.  I'm told some of the jr racers from Iowa aren't crazy about the electric jr. dragsters. They repeat to the point of can't beat 'em might need to join them or get in a different class.

I raced the F3. Since my brother wasn't able to make the race, I decided it was best to leave it alone myself although I thought about entering it in super eliminator.  Unfortunately I was also running super comp and there wasn't enough time between rounds to comfortably return to the lanes. I'm to old to be pushing myself like I used to do when I ran 4-5 classes at this event.

The bike is still running mid 10s.
