With the new gold fork ears, the fork tubes will not go in, I've sanded, heated, greased, trimmed, sanded more, pressed pushed, grunted and groaned. No go.
Put the old fork ears back on with the same rubber and it slips right in. Apparently they're F'n aftermarket parts. If the chrome on the tubes looked better aluminum fork ears would seem attractive right now.

I don't think so but anything is possible. I have two sets of rubbers, same problem with either. The difference seems to be in the headlight ear which I would be happy to abandon if it weren't painted already. There is a difference in the height of the square opening and the space the rubber fits in. tightening the bolt in the lower triple helps shrink the lower tree a little but still not quite enough.
These silly things are the most frustrating, I could be riding it by now.

I took the scientific approach, the ID of the gold fork ear is .060" smaller and the height is .060" shorter. I sanded the rubber more, greased it again and rotated the rubber to where it fit best. I started the fork and pulled it in with a ratchet strap. After applying the same procedure to the right side it went by hand.
I'm glad to have the chain hoist and nylon strap on the frame's top tube so I could go medieval on it and not worry about tipping it off the lift. Now for some clean up and continuing to make choices on how I want to proceed.

CSMNL says pipes are shipped! That was sudden. Something is due to arrive thursday. My brother was coaching me on how to properly ruin the baffles! I believe this set will end up on his k4 but this K0 may borrow them until proper no number pipes become available again.

This just in, I would have bet no number pipes would become available instantly when these were shipped. Not so says Webike neither PMC nor M-Tec pipes are at manufacturer.

There was a guy here in Oz selling 10 sets of new no number pipes for a fair price per set recently Don, but I like my Delkevic 4 into 1's, so I didn't take the bait.

That's hopeful, maybe some are getting made again. I have the feeling it's a lower priority product and batches get made when they have time. I have a choice of a couple 4-1's I have my brothers one owner K4 home again, these pipes may just end up on it.

In my zest to get the fork covers on I used brake silicone grease, I fear now I've glued the ears in place. I had a heck of a time lining them up with the headlight bucket. I was afraid I'd bend an ear or oval out the headlight. I think I'll go put the bulb in just to be sure.

The next day after getting it together I couldn't get them to turn and thought they were going to bend when I was lining up the headlight bucket. There is a small gap at the top since I put on the all ballz bearings so they're not mashed in there. I put rubber washers against the painted surfaces of the headlight/ears

After waiting all day for the exhaust, (I had to be here to accept them) only the hardware box showed up, I'll do unboxing day pics like the guitar guys do. lol.
The Eastwood exhaust coating is on the way, also a can of spray solvent, hopefully the nozzles fit either so I can re-use the coating on my manifolds.

Don, whst kind of money is the exhaust coating paint and would you attempt to use it on a low time new exhaust? Wondering how you would go about cleaning the inside of an exhaust before coating?

Eastwood has videos of cleaning and coating a set of headers and the website also mentions used pipes. I've done 3 sets of no number pipes, still have two. I also have concerns of the chrome bluing on 341's which this is supposed to help with also.
I did cast iron exhaust manifolds with eastwood stainless paint, they stayed silver for over 30 years and gradually turned slightly toward a brown color the past 10 or so. The good part is, it stayed on I'm hoping this coating is similar in performance, they no longer call it stainless paint though.

Nice when Christmas comes early, or in this case, never stop to happen.

Check that all are correct.
I got one wrong when I purchased my Lotus Root pipes from Yamiya. One was a no number.
Yamiya had a very good support and sent a new. I sent the wrong back and all struggle with our dictatoring greedy customs.

Good idea to take out all diffusers/baffles to verify same type and the hole to the connecting pipes atcrear are the same.

Actually closer to $1230 Eu. $1450 US. I have strings of Honda bags with washers and screws for the heat shields. The shields have nice chrome and all of that is in Honda packaging. I saw the rubber connector tubes but don't remember the clamps. I remember talk of rattling baffles years ago. I hope that's cured.
DSS was selling seconds of these a couple years ago. Everything listed as what was wrong seemed normal to me, like things lining up etc.

I looked and you are correct, nothing listed except the $$ originals sold by each. I saw DSS has Honda pipes 1-4 for $750 each. Whew, would be nice on the sandcast and free up a set of repops for this bike but I'm only low grade crazy about this stuff.

Yep, I can definitely live with the Delkevic 4 into 1 on my K0 (in fact, on pretty much all of my CB750's at the moment) so I don't really see an advantage in spending big bucks on an exhaust system. If I see some nice repops going cheap, I might though.

I have to give credit to Larry Romig for the heads up on these pipes. I saw his post on FB of his dogs checking out the box and got right on it. He said DSS also got 27 sets and sold them out already. I still wonder where they come from. It almost seems 341's are more commonly available in Europe and no number pipes usually come from Asia. But that may just be my imagination.
