make offer or not?
« on: November 14, 2020, 11:47:20 AM »
Two of our bikes, 75 cb350F and a 76 cb750 both taken from a wet garage that was torn down. They are in dry storage now. They have titles and lots of accessories like racks, bags and fairings. Probably a lot of rust, seller wants an offer. 50 miles away from here.
I'm into some big projects now so would need to pass them along but not sure I want to deal with it. What do you think, offer 5-6 hundred for the pair if the engines aren't stuck? Of course depending on how bad they are rusted.  To me the rims tell a story, if they can clean up the rest might not be so bad.

Any bike with a title is a good place to start. But stuck motors can be problematic.
Start with the end in mind...

I think the 750 is an F0. I didn't intend to mark them with a heart, I was trying to take a screen shot. lol.

At least a few hundred bucks in parts if they don't pan out. If that 350F tank is straight that's something. No side covers though. May be worth a gamble...

I'm about ready to cut up a couple windjammers and I have a nice ( but ugly) wixom fairing just because it looks like a harley fairing and I have a chunk of lexan to make a short windshield for it. I even already have those saddle bags in a shipping box.
What are the odds the 750F muffler isn't already  destroyed?
I was going to list a set of new 400F sidecovers and short works shocks for sale.

Don do you still have that radio and speakers enclosure from the WJ in those pics? I wouldn't need speakers or radio, just the enclosure which should ship with low weight.

Alan I don't have those bikes yet but do have a radio enclosure. If I get them I'll be sure to let you know.
