M&H flat bottom slick

 Has anybody ever ridden on an old style flat bottom drag slick?  I'd love to hear about getting off the end of the track and around the pits on it.
  I had a beautiful 16" rim and a junky one with stainless spokes so I combined the two and put on an old 16 x 5" M&H a friend used one weekend to race his sportster. I thought it would look good at a show if I ever get the old stroker motor drag bike back together.  Too old to race (me and the tire) but looks cool.

yes Don R , rode a few in my time , soft side wall an low air pressure ,4"easy as , 6" easy 8" have to hang off side of bike a bit get it to steer around , best avoid sharp turns

When I rode the Nutcracker injected D&K frame laydown bike it had the flat slick. Turning was something it already didn't like doing, and when you got a little leaned over it felt like I was gonna fall off. But hook up it did, that's how the bike got it's name... :o
