looks like there is an alignment problem with that rear wheel......I though early 750's had the horn on the left?

The horn moved to the right between #1600 and #2000, this is a later bike.

The numbers are close together.  It's a Vic World restoration.  I think this one will go over $40k.

The engine number spread gets bigger around 55xx Mine is 400 or so and other sandcasts close to that frame number also have a similar spread.

It must be nice, you guys have usually found a few things by now.

I am regularly surprised how much bikes and cars sell for on BaT.

A CB500 for over $5K?!

Whoa! I thought you meant the Sandy sold for $9K. You were talkin' about the 500. Anyway, 5 days left and the Sandy is currently at $22K.

A WAG for one original OEM 71 CB500 might be $5000?  This assumes “needs nothing”.  So $9K is almost two of these.

Wow, my 5511 isn't restored, I can't help wonder how those bikes values compare to that.
I keep seeing what even a set of K0 gauges go for, it makes me worry about where I park my diecast.

I think that bike ticks all of the boxes.  It looks great and has the Vic World pedigree.  It also comes after a K1 sold for really high money last month.  This might just be the high watermark for a Sandcast so far.  I would think an unrestored but very clean sandcast could top this at one of the in person auctions.

Sandcast CB 750 in candy blue-green
The holy grail of sandies.
I've always loved that color.
Remember the pre-production one that sold a few years ago for around $240K ( I think)?
