Farm auction

 Its farm auction time again on the prairies.   Ad states "Honda four 350 4 cyl motorbike, 6153 miles showing, S#2002144 (needs carb.)"
 Looks fairly complete, has ripped seat, are those mufflers original? I don't know what I'm looking at -  is this collectible?

Those definitely look like the stock pipes to me.  Even in less than pristine condition, the pipes are worth more than the rest of the bike as a whole.  Carbs are pretty easy to find for these because the 350 and 400F shared the same ones, just different jets.  Just like all the other sohc4's, these are becoming more and more collectible every day.

Thx for that teeny piece of info regardiing the carbs for the 350 and 400.  Just in case later on down the road I have an issue with my rebuild.   tah!

Nah...it's not collectable at all...just pick it up really cheap, and I'll take it off your hands...those were only made for a few years anyway... :D

I should have known asking 'is it collectible' on this site would get a predictable answer. :D   I'm convinced, even though I don't really need another bike, especially a little guy like that for the flat wide
open spaces I ride in. But for some reason I feel like I must have it. ???  I've compared the pic to some in the Albums forum and from what I can see,  this neglected oldtimer looks like it has all its original parts (except kickstart lever rubber), at least on the right side.  Better questions- how much is it worth, what would be a steal, and what would be the max? ( the number you could live with, but not tell anyone else)

Buy it. They say a poor condition, running 350 is worth $400. It's worth at least twice that parted out without the pipes. I doubt you'll get out of it what you put into it if you restore it, but I think its fun to do and great to own and ride.
