More questions about my 350f?
« on: June 12, 2005, 09:02:42 AM »
First off, Is either my seat or front fender interchangable with a CB350?

Is the chrome trim piece around the bottom of my seat part of the seat cover itself? My seat cover is in excellent shape but the chrome at the bottom has a couple bends in it and it bothers me.

And lastly...Should my frame and engine serial numbers be the same?

Frame:  CB350F-1023623
Engine: CB350F-1023670

Thanks!

I doubt that the fender or the seat are interchangeable. The front fender on the cb350f accomodates the front disk brake and the twin has a front drum brake. The seats don't look the same. That said, you might be able to make them fit.
As for the chrome strip on the seat, it is part of the cover and it takes the shape of the seat pan. Just remove the cover and straighten the pan lip.
The engine and frame serial numbers should not match.

Thanks for the help! Also, how are the HONDA badges held to the tank? Is there an adheasive strip or are they glued or something?

The badges have pins at the back that fit into holes in a bracket mounted inside an indentation in the tank. Carefully pry them off with a flat blade. The badges are easily bent so go slowly.

Late model 350 twin came with a disc brake too, and sold pretty well. I think it is the CB350G or so that got it. I doubt that the fender would drop in though.
