I always thought he would be a very cool guy to sit around with and have a beer or a drink. I am sure he had many stories and fun times in the past on his bikes. Very sad to hear the news. RIP Frank.

I had the pleasure of doing just that on many occasions. Frank was always generous with his time and his knowledge. Unfortunately COVID made it challenging to get up his way so I haven’t seen Frank for some time. Such sad news. You will always be remembered. RIP

On September 8th, at the 21 rides thread, Frank posted:
“Well it looks like its going to be zero rides for me this year..
Been a full year now since I rode a bike..
Next year should be real good, its starting to look like,
things are starting to fall in place.. my plan may be working.”

Not a word about his health, and looking ahead towards the new year. In PMs he mentioned resuming with his frame kits.

RIP Frank, nice guy and not that old, I really enjoyed participating in his 20 Rides, 21 Rides threads, gave me even more incentive to go out and ride my bikes. Very sad day.
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

You've gotta be one hell of a guy to pose with a bike with worn out duct tape on the seat like that. Notice his left hand still on the clutch. You're still teaching us what cool is aren't you Frank?

Such sad news.  I truly enjoyed getting to know him while at the SOHC reunion in AZ @ Dolores camping.  He was so very nice (but boy could he snore  ;D).  I will never forget him telling us how he got to AZ by riding straight through from Canada and he slept on the side of the road.  What a character.  You will be missed Frank!

RIP Frank

He was a great person.  We spoke over messages earlier this year when he sent me a top section of frame, so I could install a weld in frame kit.  I'm gonna miss him and his wealth of knowledge.

Sad news indeed. He has contributed greatly to the wealth of knowledge on this forum so hopefully much of his sage advice and insight will continue to live on in these pages. While the beady eyes in his avatar kinda creeped me out, he always seemed to genuinely want to make a positive contribution. Thanks for all you did here Frank!

Rest in peace Frank. Condolences to your family and loved ones. This definitely will leave a big hole in the forum, his enthusiasm was like a kid that never got old. He loved these bikes AND the people on this site.

Real sorry to hear! Condolences to his family! Please post details once they’re made available. Everyone else has about summed up my thoughts… he and i have corresponded and collaborated numerous times over the past several years. He was one of the few on this board that could understand and relate to my chopper lifestyle! RIP and remember my next bike will be a … ANFOB

Frank and I had been friends for over ten years now, and have swapped parts back and forth from the start. 1080, did you end up with a Weber Harley manifold by chance? If yes, it came from me, in exchange for a front brake caliper. ;D We also swapped Weber info, as well as machining info, and Frank was the only one that understood what I was saying about undercutting transmission dogs with a Dremel and checking the fit with dye. Everyone else thought I was nuts, and that it could only be done at a great expense, even though I'd already done it. ::)

I'm pretty sure it means "ANother Fcuking Old Bike" Alan, or at least, that's what I thought he meant. ;D
