How do you get kickstart shaft from the case

What the title says, the kickstart assembly is the last thing to get out od the bottom case of CB750 for thorough cleaning.

Pull out the hollow pin with small vise grips, be careful.
I prefer to clean without removing pin, bit of a pain to remove and install pin.

 I give it some lube, squeeze the roll pin with vise grips, and turn it while prying up a little on the grips . Rotating the pin back and forth seems to work best for me. The vice grips will slip off 30 or 40 times. 
 I did one yesterday.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

The pin was actually already out, rubber mallet drove it out, i just wasnt sure.

I just did that today. This one must be weak, it only took 22 tries... ;)

 I did another one too, same deal.  It was in a broken and lonely lower case by but it had the kicker and most of a trans in it. Will be beer cans soon.
