Trying to find lock nut for top of 72 Carb
« on: January 03, 2022, 11:09:55 AM »
Hey guys,

Bike has been sitting for a while and back to sorting through odds and end. I lost the top lock nut for the top of one of my carbs (not sure if that's what it's called). Anyone have any ideas where to get one?

The parts to the carbs came with the carbs and other than jets, parts aren't available individually.  The nut is probably 3 or 4mm fine thread metric.  You could probably get one at a big box store but it will be smaller on the outside dimensions but should still work as a lock nut.

Check eBay and similar. Many carbs have corroded after long time parked.
The rest of the carbs can be sold as parts.
I bought a rack with its moving  parts a few years ago.

I've got a bunch of racks of carbs. What's the going rate for set?
