After finishing a few old projects I'll be doing a steering stem swap to add CB400T 33mm forks to a 250 Nigthawk. It's got a 310mm? drum now but I'll swap out the left fork lower for one from a CX500 so I can run the single disc & twin piston caliper with a pair of tubeless Comstars, I'll probably toss in some cheap cartridge emulators and look around at springs too.
What are those rear shocks Bill?
Hi Alan,that's a good thing,going over to disc:drum fronts just won't cut-it.
The rear shocks on this little 'mini-bike'
are very cheap(purchased from Wemoto UK $130 shipped)YSS shocks(13" eye to eye)made to fit a UK version CB125RS;they're a hair better in quality than OEM which were worn out.I prefer a better quality shock with what I carry on this bike, max load is 325lbs. & the rack will carry 65lbs+.This is my daily rider and a real workhorse,it even rolls on Interstates with me tucked out of the wind blasts.
I'm installing a black XR low miles dirt bike engine, fully rebuilt with more power this weekend;my powersports machinist did a Great job on cutting the valve seats for maximum flow.
