Newbie in NJ
« on: March 02, 2007, 01:39:36 PM »
Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Pete Gebhart, I just bought my second bike.  1976 CB750A , its a hondamatic.  I know its kind of a weird bike.  But it was in amazing shape  and it was a great price.  I really want to try and cafe it out.

If anyone has any suggestions on the bike, tips tricks etc let me know.

One thing I am trying to figure out is if the frame is the same, i want to get a new tank and seat, they will fit the frame for the CB750 k and F but they aren't sure about the A.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Pete

You may want to check the the Bike of the Month Winners and member bike pictures; there are some awesome cafe's here.

I did a check at Service Honda, and according to the Honda catalogs, the seat and tank are exclusive to the '76A.  If you're going to cafe the bike, you may want to customize the seat and tank yourself.  There are some excellent guides here, and customizing the seat is something that can be done if you have some patience.

Greetings Pete,

We don't see much Automatic stuff around here. I'm looking forward to seeing what goes on with your bike.

Jerry

I'm up in Orange County NY, Central Valley, Just off of the Thru-way exit 16.

I used to live in Cedar Grove, and spent at lot of time at Concerts and games at the Stadium. Ever take the ride Through Harriman State park?
