cl350 x sl250 suspension swap
« on: February 19, 2022, 01:44:52 PM »
Im looking to add some travel to my cl350 suspension for some heavier duty off roading this summer.

This may be a dumb question, but could I just toss some of these xl250 forks on my cl? https://www.ebay.com/itm/233600258470?hash=item3663a911a6:g:hFAAAOSwDXBevvUJ

you need to research whether or not the fork tube diameter fits your trees.  I dunno.  I am thinking those are 35mm and your cl uses 33?  Also pretty sure SL forks are straight swap but not as much of a travel gain.

Despite those gorgeous high pipes, the cl models don't really offer much off road.

Appreciate the replies. Oh I found this. https://www.dotheton.com/index.php?threads/fork-tube-diameters-list.20950/

Diameter make model year
33 Honda SL-350 K1 (70-71)
33 Honda CL-350 "Scrambler 350" (72-73)
33 Honda XL-200R (83-84)

So it looks like I might have some options.
