Hi All, I've got another question I was hoping to have some assistance with. I'm taking apart and rebuilding the front forks on my '77 CB750 F2 and there is some chrome pitting on the forks themselves. The pitting appears to on the exposed parts of the forks as opposed to the bottoms. What i'm trying to work out is if the pitting will affect the oil retention or if it is outside the zone of the suspension travel. The shop manual states there is 141.5mm of travel in the forks, but where is this measured from? One fork is in pieces, the other is waiting to be taken apart.
In short, i'm trying to work out if I need to spend £200 on a set of new forks :'(
