CB500 from ‘78 with 550F engine block
« on: March 18, 2022, 11:17:44 AM »
Just picked up a ‘78 CB500 Four and realized it seems to have the engine block from the 550 model, with the clutch engage cover on the right side of the engine. Anyone who can confirm this was original, I could not fintæd much information about this.

Yes, its a CB500K3 of which there were not many made and only imported into certain countries, only differences to CB550K3 were:-
Barrels and pistons
Side panel badges
Carb jets
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
