Today my "Honda" clutch discs came. 8 were in a Ziplock bag with the Honda number on it, the other two from a different dealer are the late type wide tab genuine slant cork discs. I noticed on the 8 the clutch material or adhesive has squeezed out onto the tabs and they won't go into the F2 clutch basket. Of course in my haste to assemble it I had already oil soaked them. I had to sand the outside diameter of 72 tabs and 144 edges and clean the grit off of each one. They do fit into the F2 basket now. I left them in the oil and came back in.
Update, the F2 clutch is in, with the K6 clutch cover, all new discs and some really nice plates. I used the small spline washer that usually sits behind the snap ring on a late clutch. It's odd, the basket appears to be the same depth except the tabs stick out more, the lifter is the same but the clutch hub is deeper as is the side cover. The lever pull is harder, I may take out the plug washers that are under the springs.
Test ride #3 soon. I'll take the same route and see if it makes it now that the charging system is connected.
