Topic: Lithium battery install

I recently acquired a 72 cb750 with all kinds of crazy wiring. So I pulled the harness, and will install a new one. I currently don’t have any gauges, horn, or turn signals. It is also with out any fuses. I’m very new to this bike and im looking at switching to a lithium battery so I can hide all my wires under the seat. Any suggestions on batteries and also, do I need fuses if im running so little electrical items. Not sure what the terminology is here. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated

Got any photos you can share. Pardon my skepticism but with one post I would need quite a bit more traffic from you to take your request seriously. You will need about 4-5 posts before you can post ages to the site but you can link to your images you upload to a third party hosting site before that...
Just have to make those images viewable by others of course.
Introduce yourself in the new members area of the forums and tell others about yourself and what you are dealing with... Photos are always helpful...

Welcome to the forums. Edit your profile and add your general location and add a signature line to tell others about your bike in your signature line. Unless you want to tell everyone repeatedly what ya got in every new thread about the bike in question.
I don't document my collection for personal reasons.
I have one of this forum's targeted bikes...not a 750.


As to fuses, depends on how much you like fire... fuses are always recommended for anything.
Do you park your motorcycle near a car?
Do you park it in a building's garage or carport or is it in a parking place outside an apartment complex?
Insurance companies like to deny claims for all kinds of reasons, you really want to wire your own bike with what appears to be zero experience. Because if you have a claim then you are going to find an adjuster be your worst enemy as it is their jobs to minimize payouts from most companies...

I have a 81 cb750 that runs great. I wanted a project, so I can learn how to work on a motorcycle, and in turn hopefully take that knowledge and make sure my 81 keeps running. I’ll post pictures. Introduce myself and whatever else is customary. Not trying to over step, I’m just looking for some direction outside of what I’ve found in YouTube videos. Best.
