in no particular order:

main ride is a '00 Olds Silhouette minivan. Yeah, I know. Not a soccer mom though. But it hauls the accumulated
cruft that I seem to throw in the car.

second is a '98 Caddy Seville SLS. Smooth. Quiet. Reasonably good handler. It's a Caddy. I like Caddys, ok? The bigger,
the freaking better. Nothing nicer to take a long roadtrip in.

third, which just recently was adopted by a new appreciative owner, was a 1986 Lotus Turboesprit. Fast. Harsh
ride. Cramped. Colin Chapman at his (well, he was the inspiration for the first one in '77) best/worst/etc. Typical
british electrics. Tempramental. Loved it.

1987 Mustang 5.0.
Bought it new in '87, has 180,000 miles, my daily driver. Runs as strong as the '70 Cyclone Spoiler I had when gas was cheap.

I don't have any real pictures on this machine of them. So tomorrow for the Orange 496 runner and B7 '69 Charger. All the others are in need of restoration. I was hoping to get at the GTS this year and started to strip and prep some of the pieces, but got the F3 and then got the line on the K2 and K5 and then.......
But I'll post the runner and Charger tomorrow - if its okay to post 4 wheeled conveyances on the board.

Acutally the name is from a 1968 runner I bought in 1970. I got a 440 six pack/18 spline 4 speed 833/ 4.10 Dana out of a wrecked 1969.5 Super Bee and put in the '68 runner. The jargon was of course 6 pack for a Dodge and 6 barrel for a Plymouth. So when asked I said the runner had a 440 six pack in it. The onlooker would try to correct me ( never mind a 1968 runner was 1.5 years too early for the 440 3 deuce motor). I would reply the motor was from a Dodgeand was a six pack in it - when did it change allegance?
But yea the current 496 also has 6 barrels.

Beautiful! Thanks 6pk! I'm like you man, I still dig the old classics. Nothing they make today looks even remotely as tough and beefy as the muscle cars of old. And theres something about the fact they are simple enough to work on yourself. I grew up when they were integrating primitive computer controls and slapping all kinds of restrictive power robbing emissions controls on em. And durring a time when power was out and fuel economy was in. Gotta admit though, theyre really perfecting the technology nowadays and getting to the point where its the best of both worlds w/ power AND economy, not to mention supurb handling...they make it too easy sometimes with that though. Then you gotta figure who can afford the stuff and then you gotta be an Einstein to work on half of it! If I had the extra cash I'd buy a #$%*in 68' Coronet r/t , cuz I like em big and I like sleepers. Id leave the 440 magnum and drivetrain alone but I'd throw a complete Hotchkis suspension on it. I can have dreams!

Here's a 1968 Hemi 4 speed ragtop I had up to 2 decades ago. It was the only 4 speed ragtop built. The others were autos. Wish I still had it. Nevermind the stratospheric level of dollars hemi ragtops are fetching. Especially the E bodys.

McP, got rid of everything in a cleaning fit. It's funny you refering to it a moggie. I said something to that effect to a guy here in the States and he suggested penicillen might clear it up. Good news is, I think I finally have a buyer for it. When a couple million dollars fall out of the sky, I'm going to put a good shop together so I can carry out all the ideas I have for cars and bikes. One of the first projests is to take 2 early '60s Volvo 122S station wagons; one will be med gray with bigger engine, ghost flames and full moons. The other will get turned into an El Camino- it would be so easy.

Terry, I hope you never have to experience the lonliness of true genius. An example; the last time I went to the Oakland Roadster Show, one of the biggest hits was a BMW Isetta w a 1200 cc bike engine, rear slicks almost as big as the car, and wheelie bar. Another one I loved was a Karman Ghia that was slammed a touch, faux zebra skin interior, and '59 Cadillac fins grafted onto the rear fenders. Brings a tear to my eye, even now. A good restoration is a beautiful thing, but true vision- that's Beauty!

Terry, sometimes I intentionally put in mistakes to see if anyone is paying attention. You're obviously much smarter than you look

.( Can I tell you something in confidence? I got some thing from ebay one time and at the bottom it said something about not being able to respond. So, I combined some things in my head and put it on the site when I entered a picture of my dog on a ride (dog is my co-pilot). Much to my amazement, no one said anything. I thought I'd get something about "What's THAT doing here?!", etc.)

Anyhoo- when I sell this great running can of worms, I'm going to experience a Miata for a while. I've already got a hard top for it.

Being the dumbass that I am, I sold it, and still cry myself to sleep when I think about it.
