Does the standard 12 volt charging lead supplied with these rev counters have any sort of voltage/amperage reducer built into the lead ??? the internal battery fitted  is only a 4.8v.  NMH ,  1200 Mah. .....suspect a full 12v. from a 14AH. battery would fry it ! .... I dont have an original lead and wish to make one up .   Thanks in advance for advice .    Mike.

Don’t know about the internal battery as I have never bothered to look at it bit I just charge mine with the supplied cable. It is just a standard cable - no reducer in sight.
