new guy
« on: October 12, 2022, 07:33:44 PM »
Hey there, I'm new to posting. I've been lurking the forum for some years now. I have a blue '76 cb750f super sport that runs, is mostly stock, and is slowly becoming the bike in my head. Currently located just outside of Portland Oregon.

Welcome aboard Joe.
Great looking 75F. I remember thinking about buying one of those new but bought a 75 K instead as I liked the Planet Blue color better and the 4 pipes.
I have another 75 K now that I love riding, took it to bike night last night in NH. It's a blast to ride.
Also have half a dozen more projects,  a couple of 74s, three 76 Ks and a 78 K, bringing them back to life.

Well, Little Joe was brothers with Hoss in the Cartwright family of the TV show Bonanza... So, just saying...maybe Little Joe has a huge brother like Joe Cartwright of the TV show...
Little Joe was played by Michael Landon and Hoss was played by Dan Packer.

Nice looking bike and I like the color.

Welcome Little Joe.  Don't let the bike in your head change that beautiful blue original.  Just some time and enjoyment and that blue original will change to the bike in your head!
If it works good, it looks good...

I do love planet blue! my old man rode a couple F's in college, I've always been drawn to them. Disc brakes are nice too, can't complain there.

yeah all its got now is some jetting, a hand bent yosh pipe, and it's getting dynatek coils/ignition timing weekend after next. straight-across drag bars too when I find the time. I'm perpetually torn between a stock-ish look and the CR750 style furniture (tank/seat pan mostly) but we'll see if I ever get there.
