Hey, Tews, Merry Christmas!
How's it going with that babe?
At 10k miles, it should have just started running well...

I like the fiberglass Vetter: mine is one of them. My 1st one got broken off (the whole right side) in the spectacular September 1972 wreck, so I got the one I have now bt driving to Craig's shop, then in IL (a fiberglass handlaid one, but a factory 2nd with nicks in the outer gel coat). They don't flex and shudder at 100 MPH like the ABS ones [sometimes] can, and the windshield doesn't start bending back toward your face(!).
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

The demons are repulsed when a man does good. Use that.
Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.

Nice find and Merry Christmas :)

Chris has just acquired engine #12xxx with what appears to be replacement cases but possible sandcast barrels and head. It also has the case protector at the countershaft sprocket. He wants to sell or bargain for a good K5 motor.

She is sitting in the garage at the moment. The tank was flushed out 3 times and there is still some small particles floating around so another flush will most likely happen. I did swap the original forks back on after rebuilding with new seals and fluid. Lastly I am not sure if I shared, she is running but as I mentioned there is small particles coming free in the gas tank so the idle jets may be impacted. Ill have to clean the jets out once again I think.

Wow! What a great find.  Looks fantastic.   Jealous.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

My bike now. I put on new tires, wheel bearings, rebuilt front brake top to bottom, and de-rusted tank and rebuilt carbs. It's on the road now. The last thing it needs is a carb sync and double check of ignition components. I would like new seat foam but it's not available. For now I'm just taking it around town but it will go on some longer rides soon.
