Topic: Mikuni carbs 1983 Xj550 yamaha maxim

I was drilling out the factory plug that covers the fuel adjustment screw. My drill bit popped through the plug to far and hit the top of the screw and messed it up. Now my screwdriver wont turn it because the slot in the screw is gone. Any suggestions? Thanks, Scott.

Try an easy-out? Drill a small hole in the mangled screw, insert easy-out, unscrew. replace with a new screw. You might be able to find a replacement screw on eBay?
