F2 spark plugs stuck
« on: December 01, 2022, 10:49:24 AM »
This is a "removed" head from an F2 that spent time outside. The center two plugs are extremely tight, I've expended the usual amount of force and tried my battery impact but I don't want to break them off. I'm soaking them with Kroil from the combustion chamber side and am in no hurry.
Ideas or suggestions? I believe they are NGK's so I have a chance, unlike the brittle Champions I did battle with once before.

Maybe heat the entire head in the gas grille like I did a cylinder recently?

Don.... definitely heat. That’s what ultimately freed up the barrel portion on my engine. I’d warm the entire lump up to 250F in an oven or BBQ. In theory the head should expand more than the plug... Cool the plug with a shot of brake Kleen just before you hit with the impact gun. Good luck!

I did all that and broke them anyway. My brother drug this bike home from Missouri and I've junked almost every part off of that wasn't already robbed. What a waste of hours. I did keep the entire rear swingarm assembly pedals and rear brake.
