they made a '73 900 Z1 styled retro bike....Don't remember the engine size....

The CB1100 is a good bike but I think they missed on the tech
The modern Z1 is ok, I think they missed on the styling but the tech is great.

i think they did a fantastic job capturing the vintage spirit in the remodel of the Z1. I love everything about the new Z1 except the size and look of the tank in person, saw a couple guys touring on a set out West. The new CB line doesnt do anything for me, im not even sure how I would have felt if they did what Kawasaki did and tried to copy the 70s style CB exactly...everything bout the modern cb is a turn off to me...these vintage kits for the modern cb arent cheap either they cost crazy money and doesnt seem worth it.....although, the kits do look better in other colors

I like the modified CB1100. It nailed the heritage of the past.
A little bit more power like 110-120Whp with good torque from low would be fine

The Kawasaki look good, but too compressed.
They missed the fantastic design of the old Z1-900.
 Tank-seat-side covers- tail with rear light is almost a perfect design!

Kawasaki did a Z1 retro back in the '90's (?) called the Zephyr. Was a 750, but looked a lot more like the original Jaffa Z1

IIRC there was an upper capacity limit in Japan of 750cc, so they never got the Z1 900 as a local market model, but they were able to reimport them, so the pictured 750 was a Japanese market contemporary of the Z1 900.

I like the looks of it but based on specs it seems to be lacking power - 88.5hp.  My 1982 900 is 95hp, wtf?  What did they do with the displacement difference?

bike sold for 9200, the 75' sold for 3900.

here is what those 4-4 pipes sound like.

this one has a very accurate seat. damn, these dont look that bad at all...just needs spokes.

this is a k0 candy gold, with super build maximum 4-4 titanium exhaust and swing arm with a CB1100 front end graphed on and cb1100 rear wheel.... looks like they made a custom unicorn triple for the cb1100.

Nice carbs on the CB750. Yoshimura version ($$$$) of the Mikuni TMR,. Yoshi MJN with holes in the needles spraying a fine mist.
