I have see the posts on K models but could not see anything for F1.

The F1 presents extra problems due to rear storage box creating a larger hinged section.

Im thinking of going to Spain this year on my F1 and have not had any luck finding a rear carrier rack.

Any suggestions appreciated.

 They make rear luggage racks for the F model. I have one kicking around somewhere I removed. They hinge and move out of the way so the seat and rear cowel will clear them when opened. I'll post some old pics of it when I get to my office computer and of another F I bought once fully decked out in touring mode.

 I made brackets with slots for the rear mount so the rack on my F could hinge up at the front shock bolts and I could swing the seat most of the way open under the rack. When it was down it stayed in place, especially loaded.

  Here is a picture of the CB750 F model specific luggage rack that came on a bike I bought that hinges and swings out of the way. This other picture is of an original owner bike that I bought that was fully decked out in 'tour' mode. The funny thing about the orange bike is that when I moved it out of his garage where it had sat for a very long time the wall behind it was a different color because when he painted last he could not move it out of the way.    Wish I would have had a camera to take a pic of the yellow silhouette on the wall when I left.

If you don't ride two up, maybe you won't need a luggage carrier. Just saddle your workhorse. I recommend leather bags, or other soft bags and certainly not hard cases. I used roll top saddle bags for my trip to Detroit from Virginia.  Lot of space and waterproof.

I want a luggage rack with platform and side hard-bag racks on every bike I own;it's a pain to be on a ride and go into a store or yard sale,etc. and have no way to take your purchase with you.
I like the Connecticut Cycle Accessories/CCA 3-piece luggage racks as they're made from good,strong USA steel and 4-point frame mounted;simple to remove the 12" x12" top platform with 4 bolts on each side;they were made with good chrome also.
The problem of getting under the seat with the special designed rack which is meant for the 'F' can be worked around..
The CCA rack top removes with sturdy bolts and then remove the left side rack support with it's two large bolts.
The bike could have an AGM battery which has had the connectors properly maintained and tightened then remove the rack only for air filter maintenance when needed.

Here's a picture of my little CB125S 'basic transportation'/gas-saver I ride which I had brought to a welder and modified the original CCA top rack using the hard-case lower racks from an air-head BMW R75/5 so I can carry more luggage down low where it handles better.
The lowers also have extra braces from the parts from the original BMW rack which help strengthen the entire rack.
I would like to have the complete rack system powder coated bright silver with clear but for now it works very well.
I carried a 60lb. engine on that top rack and the strong rack(4-point frame mounted for strength)handled it fine.

Sorry, couldn't help laughing. Any idea where the steel for your truck chassis comes from? It's from the steel works about 25 km from where I live. Reason: it's much stronger and 17% lighter than 'good, strong US steel'. US steelworks cannot make it. Due to lack of investment, all US steelworks are still the open furnace type. We also had them... in the dark ages. A lot of propaganda going on in the US. Just tour the rust belt and see for yourself.

Ah,I didn't know that;I appreciate this information.
The CCA company went out of business back in the late 80's due to toxic chemicals getting into the soil,etc.,I suspect chromium stuff from their chrome plating process.
I like how their racks are designed and the plating is very good quality;the steel has been very strong for my needs. I didn't know steel can be made lightweight And strong.
