Abba Stands- Sky Lift
« on: April 01, 2023, 06:22:34 AM »
Has anyone used a Sky Lift by Abba Stands to work on their bikes?

https://abbastands.co.uk/product-detail.asp?item=sky-lift&pid=44

I've provided Abba Stands with the dimensions of the swing arm pivot bolt and nut, and they tell me they do have fittings that will, in theory, fit.

Looking at their website and galleries it just shows modern bikes with their modern swing arm set-ups. Not sure if the pivot bolt and nut on my 400/4 will take the stress!

Any advice would be greatly appeciated.

If you ask us on the UK Forum, I'm sure you will get some answers as we all use different types of lifts. I'm sure someone asked the same question in the past here in UK and it was decided the ABBA was of no use for our bikes but I could be wrong.

I looked at the "Abba" site (USA site) and wouldn't trust that there advertised stand to properly support the cb's design in reference to the weight distribution of the cb. I did however look at their "cruiser" style lift that may be a possibility? But, you may also have to purchase the add-on bracket system that is for bikes with lower slumps and/or exhaust than the lower rails of the bike. Looks like a pretty cool system though.

I have an Abba stand and have pondered how to use it with my CB750, but I can't see a way to make it work, especially with the stock exhaust. It works great with more modern bikes.

You only go around once in life so it might as well be on a motorcycle.
