I’ve ran Metzelers in the past on the front and back with similar tread pattern to the me77s
They were then advertised as a good wet, dry, good all around traction. After wearing out a set of “Conti Twins” of the day I thought they were an improvement. Better in off camber transitions in everyday highway conditions. Everyone had their favorite corner back when we were invincible. They would do it a little faster and a little longer than the twins, but they would give it up, controllably, if pushed. They were a good tire back then, perhaps a little softer compound compared to the old Twins.
