cm400t gas tank filter
« on: March 13, 2007, 04:18:23 AM »
I am trying to get the rust out of my 81 cm400t gas tank. I removed the petcock, and see that there is a screen
filter up the tank. There is a nylon bushing that fits flush with the opening where the petcock was and attached to
that is the filter going up into the tank. I'm sure acid to clean the tank will mess up that filter, but I can't see how
to get it out of there. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

Thanks, I got it out with a needle nose, a bit chewed up on the end, but I think
I can make it work. Now to get the rust out. :-\
