Welcome from the desert of southern Arizona. Nice looking 550. Will run better with a real exhaust, not just header pipes… delkevic makes an inexpensive stainless steel exhaust 4 into 1 system.

I was looking at those last night on 4into1 but the part numbers mismatch to Delkevic website

Steer clear of 4 into 1, just lot better suppliers out there...
Lots of cheaply made junk they carry and I would rather give others my money.

Welcome,

The 550 handles paved, gravel and long distance freeway miles, enjoy.

Welcome aboard the forum Envoy from southern NH.
The 550 is a great power to weight ratio package so it's a fun bike to have. What are your plans for it?

Welcome from Lake Travis, where are you?

The 550 is a fine bike.  If within your budget, the stock exhaust is very nice and will add value to your bike.
Good used ones pop up from time to time here and on eBay.

Plans for the 550.
1) ride not hide it (this summer)
2) restore the wheel
3) new pipes 4-1 or 4-4 depending on budget
4) new paint for tank and side covers(maybe not original color, but some retro style)

I’m up in Cedar Park so the 1431 to marble falls ride is calling.

Sounds like you are on the right track.
If you are ready you can get the Busso 4into4 300 no numbers for @$940(depending upon exchange rate when you pay 850€ euro) There's a group buy to get them in the next few days(just have to put a deposit of 1/2 that now other half in August when they'll be ready to ship.)
I ordered mine on Monday.
