Carbs are out. Some questions.

1975 cb550k1
Removed the carbs to see why gas is getting into the oil.
Also to replace gaskets and o rings.
Where are the places on the carb I should be investigating?
Other than float height.
Also, what is the safest way to remove the float needle seat?
I don’t want to damage it.

Are you working on carbs on the kitchen counter?  Are you cleaning jets in Rye Wiiskey? lol  That might be a great new tip if it works!

Ha! I did most of the disassembly outside and then brought it.

Seriously though, I would put carbs back together, go back outside, attach some kind of remote fuel supply and see where the gas is getting out of the carbs.  A bench check of your fuel supply control...
