My multimeter dwell function does not use inductive clamp. It is a clamp in the package but not for dwell.
Just connect to point and case as measuring voltage.
Dwell to get the little extra when both points are equal when moving and adjusted on a warm engine.
Both my bikes have Dyna-S nowadays.
Too much fiddling with points.
My K6 showed strange power curves on dyno at higher revs. Frequent rebuilds, cam changes etc needed to take the plate off.
Chevy points might have been an upgrade.
Dyna-S back where it sat before tear down. Marked with a marker pen.
I had a degree wheel on ignition side when timing the cam.
Quick check with a timing lamp to just see its OK.
My K2 got a point failure causing misfirings that made me to use Dyna-S on that too.
Might have been abused by me when wrenching, TEC points and plate.
Who knows, maybe points will return. That ignition is a part of the old CB design
