Candy Bacchus Olive lookalike
« on: October 05, 2023, 10:33:32 AM »
Hi All,

For any of you with Candy Bacchus Olive paint jobs, I’ve found a really satisfying replacement.

I recently acquired a ‘72 CB 350. It was a mess, including a non-clear coated black spray painted tank. I found the original green color underneath one of the emblems.

I had heard rumors that the Jeep color Moss Green Pearl from the 90s was really close. I took the chance and I’m thrilled with the closeness. See the pictures below of my side covers.

My cans came from Paint Scratch.

Good luck,
Tom

Here's a 1972 CB350F with a Candy Bacchus Olive finish from a US paint supplier that is slightly different with more olive and less green. I was likely more expensive than your Jeep colour though and a three stage process.

When researching paint, I noticed that the 350Fs seemed to be a lot lighter in tone. I wonder if that was a different paint color. Perhaps my 350G was just bacchus olive and not candy?
