I was asked to install a new repop throttle switch control on a friend's K4 to replace the badly stained housing and bad starter button. He bought the switch, I believe from David Silver from the bubble wrap and label it had on it.
But the new housing binds the throttle tube when you tighten the screws as it should be, so much so the throttle won't turn. I've tried a couple of tubes and get the same results so it has to be in the housing slot where the tube resides or the casting being too short.
Anyone else run into this problem with a new repop switch?
Edit.... I just want to know if anyone else has run into this problem.
It's binding without the cables attached to the housing.

id find the hang up,then decide if it just needs a little fine fettling like with a file or so?repro stuff may be not quite right but only a touch here or there makes it as good as genuine fit?

I didn't ask about making it work Dave. I asked if anyone else has run into this.
I've been trying to grind out the housing with a dremel....

I just installed a switch on a K8 from vintagecb750 and did not have this issue.

K7/8 use different switch assembly.

If there is contact with throttle cable "tubing", adjust them might help, grind alu housing not.

Per
It is not the throttle cables. It is the throttle tube without the cables, contacting the housing top section. Without the cables on the housing.
