Congratulations, Kevin!
You did the planned rides for 2024!
Good luck in a bad luck situation. A flat tire can be scary.
The screws seem to be spread here and there. I have got in the car tire. Found in time that could be repaired.
My K6 got a 5-6" nail in rear tire day before midsummer 1983 on a trip with friends.
Repaired at a friends house in the countryside where the nail entered the tire without invitation!
No compressor but oxygen and acetylen.
I went with the oxygen I replaced at next gas station.
The repaired tube was OK for a week. The rear tire suddenly wobbled around on the highway in 120kmh so I know the feeling....
That was during my way home from a bike shop I had bought tire, tube and tire irons. I had tools in the mounted Shoei bags.
Parked bike on the side in a field. Removed wheel and replaced tire and tube.
I hitchhiked to a gas station to inflate the tire while my girlfriend was resting beside the bike laying on its side.
I'm sure Police came when they thought it was an accident.
If this should have happened during the cellphone era, ambulances should have arrived!!!
So, no cellphone days was not bad back then. I should not ride or drive a car without today.
