Directionals Question

Have a 1978 CB750F. Bought some directional signals on Ebay that are in better condition than mine. The ones purchased have 1 wire. The ones one the bike have 2 wires. I get the plug in positive lead. What is the other one? Ground that stays with the housing?

The 2-wire directionals will have sockets for 1157 dual-filament bulbs. These are front directionals, one filament is always on (except when your turn signal is on) as a running light, and the other is the turn signal.

As Alan said, the 2 wires are for the front, running light and turn signals on the other wire.
The single wire are turn signal only, for the rear(stock configuration)

New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

You can pull the guts out of your lights and swap the housings and have the 2 wire, 2 filament sockets and bulbs up front.
