Electrical Question
« on: January 06, 2024, 08:55:09 AM »
1978 750F. Want to change out my rear directional signals with better ones. Question is; The existing units have 2 wires as opposed to only one, and they are both plugged in under seat. Do I not need both wires in order for the new units (with only 1 wire) to work properly? Thanks for any/all responses.

Why is it, then, that my replacement units came with only one wire? Thanks

The mounts are grounded to the frame which needs a good(green)ground wire to the main wiring harness;have you checked the factory Honda green ground wire on your main harness and verified it has a metal-to-metal connection to your frame ?
They sometimes don't because the frame paint interrupts the ground connection.

F2 were rubber mounted and needed the seperate ground wire, aftermarket didnt fit the ground wire and left it to the owner to sort out
