Topic: Cb550 carburetor rebuild kit question (o-ring specific)

I purchased the carb rebuild kits from 4into1. The description mentions the individual pieces that come with the kit but doesn’t specify what the o rings are for. The needle seat and main jet came with their o-rings already attached. The only o-rings missing from my attached photo is of the two o-rings used for the fuel tee. I understand the thicker o-ring (2nd from right) is probably for the bowl drain plug. But I need help identifying what the remaining o-rings that came in the kit are used for.

The left two o-rings appear to be the same size.

The furthest right o-ring, does it fit on the air screw?

I’ve looked at the parts fiche and can’t seem to figure it out. If anyone can help, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Are two carbs connected with a fuel “T”? They insert with two “0” rings into each carb body.

Yes, I already used two of the larger o-rings for the fuel “tee” between 1-2 and 3-4 carbs. Everything in my picture is what’s left which is why I’m stumped.

Should be 8 O rings on the Tee pieces, 2 go into each carb

So the four carb kit comes with a total of sixteen large o-rings and I understand eight are used for two fuel “tee’s”. That means eight additional large o-rings remain. I suppose the kit just comes with a few additional o-rings. According to the parts fiche, there is no o-ring that goes on the air screw, unless I’m missing something.

O ring on drain screw, main jet, fuel needle valve and tee pieces.
If you go to the uk site and look in Ashs dropbox you will find a Very early 500 parts book that gives individual part numbers and sizes for the O rings.
I know its there as i supplied it to Ash
