Delvinic header clamps at cylinder head ?
« on: March 20, 2024, 08:28:30 AM »
I just got the new header for my CB750K2, had not noticed that it does not bolt up like my MAC header does. Are these clamps at Delvinic OK to use instead of the goofy finned OEM things ?? Measured one pipe and got 43mm.

They are collector to silencer which were never finned, the finned ones go at the head and those wont work there

they are what i've bought to fit my delkevic headers but you need the spigots bolted into the head first, the headers then clamp onto those spigots

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/185972433769?itmmeta=01HSEY96VFVKB7RHANX0XFVCTP&hash=item2b4cd22369:g:qToAAOSwDhdkpLwo&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0NQeJJANeru5R6Qst6UgsWOjPPEFPgz8btNZS2GBQK9t8g8aQ4fuAprvA%2FF6TvCVzT2KxwIGlqUnIeqpRUjGAM7GkC%2FSxWB9VdwSKWNRfWit01aG7hkVuijkzwM0lwslWOg%2FieUEFmF4U8jl5Z8IqGt2l5hyeSV%2FGvyx6vpv%2Fi47HuZSAGEyfDzOhieYxLOxpZpZt%2Fq%2Fj7Vvn2hkh38qgzWQeeLVUCd9DKxkzqsvWpctqUmdOQNA6QTmWujDAHy%2Bo9E2zZKyyZUrhd6OMwXpsHY%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_TtpN7LYw

the above ebay listing is for one of them, someone here may have a set of four for sale

and the size of the clamp sold by delkevic could only be used for the headers, the collector to muffler diameter is well over 50mm from memory
i blame Terry

I'm not understanding why they would not clamp the header to the spigot ??

Yea I found a decent set on Ebay for $44 shipped, I had a set from my K3 but they are really nasty, the set I got will look decent after a bath in Evaporust. :-).
