Honda SL350 K0 Rear Shock Removal
« on: June 24, 2024, 04:36:35 am »
Currently have aftermarket cheap shocks on bike installed by PO. I want to remove and install the OEM shocks.
The bottom bolt hits the exhaust when trying to remove, not allowing me to pull the bolt all the way out. Before I mess with the exhaust, are there any tricks to removing the shocks without loosening or removing exhaust?
Also, on the install, can I turn the OEM shocks so the bolt removes on the wheel side instead of the exhaust side? Would that create any issues? Thanks!

I think removing the exhaust is unavoidable. Be sure to use some penetrating oil on any fasteners you plan on removing. Turning the bolt around might not work, you'll have to see if the head gets in the way of anything.
Look on the bright side, you get to clean up all the parts you remove!
