My 70’ ko frame off to paint, yay!
« on: July 15, 2024, 11:57:36 AM »
Finally… now I have to start gathering parts
Any great places to get original Honda parts-links appreciated👍
I’m going with gloss black except the upper tree of course.
I got some toilet bowl cleaner to try on the gas tank(I read here iirc) then swoosh some 2 stroke oil in it…? Then see about painting it the ruby red.

I've painted a few tube frames, I used Imron blitz black and when it was done, I added some reducer to what was left in the paint cup and re-wet everything back down to melt in the overspray. People were sure it was powder coat.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

YES, the modern urethane paints and clear are great. You can spill gasoline on them and they don't care a bit.

EBay is another good spot. One of my favourite sellers is “JTMarks”. Also “Everett Powersports”.

I like vintagecb750.com for aftermarket/ reproduction parts. Well priced and fast shipping.

What are you looking for?

Try vintagecb750.com for stuff like that. They ship fast and it’s free if your order is over a certain amount. DO NOT BUY THEIR CHROME FORK CAPS. The threads are not cut well and the chrome plating makes them even worse. You will ruin your parts, try to wind them in. By those from Honda!
